Brian J. Higgins is Co-Founder, Managing Partner, and Co-Portfolio Manager of King Street. Mr. Higgins is Chair of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee and Real Estate Investment Committee, and a member of the Risk Committee and the Operating Committee. Prior to co-founding King Street in 1995, Mr. Higgins worked at First Boston in the Special Situations Fund and the Distressed Securities Group. Mr. Higgins began his career in 1987 with First Boston’s Merchant Banking Group. Mr. Higgins received a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University in 1987.

Justin Gmelich is a Partner and the Global Head of Markets. Mr. Gmelich is a member of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Real Estate Investment Committee and Risk Committee. Mr. Gmelich is responsible for leading our Capital Markets, Trading, Risk and Data Science / Technology initiatives. Prior to joining King Street in 2020, Mr. Gmelich was the Global Chief Operating Officer for Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) at Goldman Sachs, after previously serving as their Global Head of Credit. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gmelich worked as a Vice President at Salomon Brothers, and before that as an Associate Trader for Chase. Mr. Gmelich received a B.S. in Finance from Villanova University, an M.S. in Accounting/Taxation from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University.

Paul Goldschmid is a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Goldschmid oversees Research in the U.S. and is a member of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Risk Committee and Conflicts Committee. Mr. Goldschmid has been a Partner since 2012. Prior to joining King Street in 2006, Mr. Goldschmid was an Analyst at Compass Partners International, a boutique merchant banking firm, focusing on principal investments and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Goldschmid received a J.D. and M.B.A. from Columbia University in 2006 and a B.A. from Harvard University in 2000.

David Walch is a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Walch oversees Research in Europe and is a member of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Real Estate Investment Committee and Risk Committee. Currently based in New York, Mr. Walch was in our London office from 2012 to 2021, and has been a Partner since 2018. Prior to joining King Street in 2012, Mr. Walch was a Managing Director at Perry Capital where he worked on structured credit and real estate investments. Prior to that, Mr. Walch was an Associate in Morgan Stanley’s real estate group. Mr. Walch received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2002 and a B.A. from Yale University in 1995.

Bruce S. Darringer is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Darringer is a member of the Management Committee, Risk Committee, Operating Committee, Conflicts Committee and ESG Committee. He has been a Partner since 2007. Prior to joining King Street in 2003, Mr. Darringer worked for Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division. Previously, Mr. Darringer co-founded Integrity Capital Management, L.L.C., a global relative value hedge fund, as Principal, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Mr. Darringer began his career as a corporate attorney for Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Mr. Darringer received a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1994 and a dual B.S. in Economics summa cum laude from the Wharton School and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.

Young Choi is a Partner, Senior Trader and the Portfolio Manager of Rockford Tower Capital Management. Mr. Choi is a member of the U.S. Investment Committee and has been a Partner since 2018. Mr. Choi is responsible for the performing loan and high yield portfolio and secondary CLO portfolio. Prior to joining King Street in 2006, Mr. Choi worked at Citadel Investment Group, as a Credit Analyst in the Distressed/High Yield Group and Portfolio Manager of the firm’s $2 billion U.S. leveraged loan portfolio and CLO. Prior to that, Mr. Choi consulted at Bain & Co. Mr. Choi received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and an A.B. summa cum laude in Economics from Duke University in 1999.

Vincent Dubois-Pelerin is a Partner responsible for Investor Relations and Business Development. Mr. Dubois-Pelerin is a member of the Operating Committee and has been a Partner since 2016. Currently based in New York, Mr. Dubois-Pelerin was in our London office from 2008 to 2019. Prior to joining King Street in 2008, Mr. Dubois-Pelerin worked at Lehman Brothers, most recently as a Managing Director in charge of EMEA Credit Products distribution. Prior to that, Mr. Dubois-Pelerin was responsible for Lehman Brothers Fixed Income activities in France and head of Fixed Income distribution to the Benelux. Mr. Dubois-Pelerin started his career as an international bond dealer at Dewaay, Servais & Co. Mr. Dubois-Pelerin received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium in 1990.

Jay Ryan is a Partner and the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ryan is a member of the Risk Committee, Operating Committee and Conflicts Committee and has been a Partner since 2012. Prior to joining King Street in 2006, Mr. Ryan was the Chief Financial Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald and its publicly traded subsidiary, eSpeed. Previously, Mr. Ryan worked for Goldman Sachs as a Product Controller responsible for the firm’s trading divisions. Mr. Ryan began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen covering a variety of industries including banking and manufacturing. Mr. Ryan received an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University in 1988 and a B.S.B.A. in Accounting summa cum laude from Bryant University in 1984. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Randy Stuzin is a Partner and the General Counsel. Mr. Stuzin a member of the Operating Committee and Conflicts Committee and has been a Partner since 2020. Prior to joining King Street in 2014, Mr. Stuzin was General Counsel of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, Mr. Stuzin was a Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Stuzin began his career as a Corporate Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and McDermott, Will & Emery. Mr. Stuzin received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1991 and a B.S. in Economics from Cornell University in 1988. Mr. Stuzin is a member of the Bar of New Jersey and the Bar of New York.
